Dallas Fed names Christine Docherty as vice president, deputy general counsel
DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has named Christine Docherty as vice president and deputy general counsel. Her new role is effective Sept. 3.
Docherty will manage the Dallas Fed’s legal department and provide regulatory counsel for the Bank. She also will be responsible for implementing the strategic direction for the department and oversee compliance.
Docherty joins the Bank from Goodwin Procter, where she worked on regulatory and transactional matters for financial institutions based both in the United States and abroad.
She was previously partner at Nutter McClennen & Fish and served as an attorney-advisor in the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she helped implement economic programs to aid the recovery from the pandemic. Docherty was also previously associate general counsel at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.
She earned her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a bachelor of arts degree from Columbia University.
