Dallas Fed announces executive promotions

For Immediate Release: Jan. 11, 2017

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has announced the following promotions.

—KaSandra Goulding has been promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer with responsibility for the Financial Management Group and Facility Management and Planning Department. Previously, she served as vice president. Goulding joined the Dallas Fed in 1983. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is a graduate of Duke University’s Executive Education Program and the University of Colorado’s Graduate School of Banking.

—Sherry Kidd Garvin has been promoted to senior vice president and chief information officer with responsibility for the Information Technology Services Department, Business Continuity Department and Dallas Fed Law Enforcement Unit. Previously, she served as vice president. Garvin joined the Dallas Fed in 1984. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Arizona State University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. She is also a recent graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

—Roberto Coronado has been promoted to vice president in charge of the El Paso Branch. Previously, he served as assistant vice president. Coronado joined the Dallas Fed’s El Paso Branch in 2001. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at El Paso and a doctorate in economics from the University of Houston.

—Shareef Shaik has been promoted to vice president with general oversight responsibility for the Information Technology Services Department. Previously, he served as software architect, information security officer and assistant vice president of application delivery services. Shaik joined the Dallas Fed in 2003. He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Andhra University in India and a master’s degree from the University of North Texas.

— Michael “Ike” Ikner has been promoted to assistant vice president and chief of police. Previously, he served as operations officer and chief of police. Ikner joined the Dallas Fed in 2010. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Dallas Baptist University and a master’s degree in criminology and criminal justice from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Sam Houston State University’s Leadership and Command College and Duke University’s Executive Leadership Program.

—Amy McGregor has been promoted to assistant vice president in the Banking Supervision Department. Previously, she served as shared support services officer. McGregor joined the Dallas Fed in 1999. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees from Texas Woman’s University, a master’s degree from the University of North Carolina and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.

—Greg Carpenter has been promoted to human resources officer. Previously, he served as director of staffing and organizational development. Carpenter joined the Dallas Fed in 2010. He holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from New Mexico State University and a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas.

—Edward Skelton has been promoted to macrosurveillance officer in the Financial Industry Studies Department. Previously, he served as business economist and manager. Skelton joined the Dallas Fed in 1996. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Baylor University and master’s degree in economics from Southern Methodist University. He is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier School of Banking at the University of Pennsylvania.

—Alexander Chudik has been promoted to economic policy advisor and senior economist in the Research Department. Chudik joined the Dallas Fed in 2011 as a research economist, having worked previously at the European Central Bank. He holds a master’s degree in economics and econometrics from the University of Essex, a master’s degree in applied mathematics from Comenius University in Slovakia and a doctorate in economics from the University of Cambridge.
