Kara Jackson is an assistant vice president in Banking Supervision at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.
She joined the Dallas Fed in March 2025 and leads Banking Supervision’s consumer affairs team.
Jackson began her career in 2005 at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, where she held various examination and leadership roles in banking supervision. She also has provided leadership throughout the Federal Reserve System on initiatives including positioning the industry to adjust to emerging consumer risks, providing strategic outreach to the banking industry and supporting systemwide examiner training and development.
Jackson holds a bachelor’s degree in international business and a master’s degree in business administration from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She also earned an Executive Scholar Certificate with a concentration in leadership from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
