Dallas Fed appoints Roy C. Lopez as community development officer

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Roy C. Lopez as community development officer. He will lead the Dallas Fed’s efforts to promote economic growth and financial stability for low- and moderate-income communities and individuals in the Eleventh District.

Lopez has served in a variety of positions associated with Community Reinvestment Act programs, particularly those that focus on affordable housing, small business, asset building, financial capability and workforce development. He previously worked at the Dallas Fed from 2005 to 2012, holding several community development positions.

Most recently, Lopez worked for Capital One in Dallas as a vice president over community development banking, leading programs in the areas of small business, affordable housing and workforce development in the North Texas and East Texas regions.

He serves on the boards of several organizations, including the Center for Nonprofit Management and PeopleFund.
Lopez earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in urban administration from Trinity University.
