Associate Economist
Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas
Laila Assanie is an associate
economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. As
a member of the Research Department’s regional
group, she conducts research on regional economic issues,
produces articles for various bank publications and
contributes to the Dallas Fed’s website by writing
for the monthly Hot Stats releases. Assanie also coordinates
the Dallas Fed’s Quarterly Survey of Agricultural
Credit Conditions, and helps in writing and producing
the 11th District Beige Book—the Bank’s
anecdotal survey of regional economic conditions.
Assanie, who has been with the
Dallas Fed since 2003, holds a bachelor's degree in
economics from Northwestern University and a M.S. in
economics and finance from the London School of Economics.
