Dallas Fed Names Sharon A. Sweeney as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has appointed Sharon A. Sweeney as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary.

As senior vice president, Sweeney will participate in overall management of the Bank. She also has general supervision of the legal department and serves as the Bank’s Corporate Secretary and Ethics Officer.

Previously, Sweeney served as vice president, deputy general counsel and associate secretary. She joined the Bank in 1985 as an attorney after serving as a law clerk for district judges in Ohio. After several promotions, she became a Bank officer in 1993, assistant vice president in 1997, and vice president in 2003. She was named deputy general counsel in 2012.

Sweeney holds a bachelor’s degree from Baldwin Wallace University and a juris doctorate from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law at Cleveland State University.
