Dallas Fed Announces Executive Promotion

DALLAS—The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas has named Joe Betsill as assistant vice president with continuing responsibility for the Bank’s Payments Services Department.

Previously, Betsill served as operations officer. Betsill has also held positions as an operations manager and as a bank examiner. Before his employment at the Dallas Fed, he worked for two Austin-area banks.

Betsill holds a B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington. He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve in 2004 as a senior chief boatswain’s mate. He was recalled to active duty for over 18 months during his Reserve career, participating in Operations Desert Shield (1990), Noble Eagle (2001), and Enduring Freedom (2003).
