Barnard Re-Elected
to Dallas Fed Board
DALLAS—David S. Barnard
of Gatesville, Texas, has been re-elected to the Federal
Reserve Bank of Dallas board of directors by its member
banks. He will serve a three-year term ending Dec. 31,
2007.
Barnard has served on the Dallas
Fed board since January 2002. He is chairman and chief
executive officer of National Bank in Gatesville.
He started his banking career in 1968 with The First
National Bank of Dallas.
He is the past director of the
Texas Bankers Association and the American Bankers Association’s
Community Bankers Council. He served on the Regional
Council of the Independent Bankers Bank and the advisory
board of the Independent Bankers Capital Fund, LP.
Barnard has a bachelor’s
degree in agricultural economics, a master of business
administration degree in finance from Texas Tech University
and is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School
of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
Each Federal Reserve Bank has
a nine-member board of directors. Three members represent
commercial banks, three represent the public and three
are appointed by the Board of Governors in Washington,
D.C.
