Paul W. Hobby was appointed to the Houston Branch Board by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in 2009. He served as the board's chairman pro tem in 2009—10 and was elected chairman in 2011.
Hobby is a founding partner of Genesis Park, a Houston-based private equity firm. Previously, he was an attorney with Fulbright & Jaworski. He was chairman of Columbine JDS Systems, Inc and CapRock Services. He also served as chairman and CEO of Alpheus Communications. Hobby serves on the boards of NRG Energy and Stewart Information Services.
He holds a BA from the University of Virginia and a JD from the University of Texas at Austin.
