The development of natural resources in a region
can have a profound effect on the land and the people
who live there. Issues of scarcity, conservation and
economic development impact not only local economies
but also national and global markets. This conference
explored the economic influence of Louisiana’s
natural resources on national policy. Sessions on bringing
the content into the classroom were also be provided.
