Annual HMDA Data Release
The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (Fed, OCC, OTS, FDIC, NCUA) has issued its annual press release announcing the availability of 2008 mortgage lending data collected by institutions covered by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). The release reflects 2008 information on mortgage lending transactions at nearly 8,400 financial institutions covered by HMDA. Read it

Bank on Houston Campaign
This new program to introduce the benefits of banking to Houston-area residents was launched on January 12, 2009. Program partners hope to open a minimum of 10,000 new accounts in 2009 and increase accessibility to quality money management education. Partners include 20 local banks and credit unions; numerous community organizations; the FDIC; the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch; and the National League of Cities. Read more |
